Maria Estella Gilbert McQuilkin (Luna), 57 years of Maumee, Ohio, died Saturday, June 29, 2019 at Hospice of N.W. Ohio. Perrysburg. Born April 29, 1962 to Joseph W. Gilbert and Ernestina Gilbert in Riverside, California.
Estella enjoyed playing guitar and singing (she was the lead singer of Rosetta Stone). Estella had the ability to light up every room she stepped into and was always there to help people. She also enjoyed playing and singing with her sons at family gatherings, shopping with her mother and spending time with her family especially her grandsons.
Maria is preceded in death by her daughter, Joni Marie Sharp.
Surviving are her loving children, Morgan (Samantha) McElheney and James McQuilkin; grandchildren, Jeff and Gabriel; Sisters, Alicia McElheney and Melissa Gilbert; Brothers. Anastacio (Erin) Gilbert and Joseph W. Gilbert, Jr.; Several nieces, nephews and many relatives and friends.
Memorial gathering will be held starting from 1:00 – 4:00pm on Wednesday, July 3, 2019 at the Michael W Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Rd. (at Jackman) Temperance, MI., where services will be held at 1:00pm. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of N.W. Ohio, 30000 E. River Road, Perrysburg, OH 43551
